The Guardian Air Advantage

Guardian Air does not need the pollutants to travel to the air handler for UV treatment or filtration. Guardian Air is proactive and uses oxygen to aggressively seek out and destroy pollutants at the source - in the air and on sources, before they can reach your family, clients or employees.

The RGF Guardian Air Phi Cell is installed inside of the ventilation system of your home or office building. The Phi Cell (short for Photohyrdoionization cell) uses light, water and oxygen to produce "Mother Nature's friendly cleaners" - hydro-peroxides, super oxide ions and hydroxides. These cleaners circulate through your conditioned air space and kill airborne and surface viruses, bacteria, mold, odors and VOCs before they can spread.

Recreating Mother Nature

As oxygen flows through our atmosphere, it comes in contact with the power bands of the sun and it changes molecular structure. High above us, oxygen turns into ozone, thus creating our ozone layer within the stratosphere. Below this layer exists the troposphere and oxygen changes to hydro-peroxides, super oxides and hydroxides. This is in the air that we breathe every day and have been breathing since the dawn of man.

These natural cleaners keep our every day outdoor environment clean, but they only last 1 to 2 nano-seconds. The reason being is that since the molecular structure has been changed from the sun's energy, they are unbalanced. Like all things in nature, they strive quickly to regain balance.

A primary way to accomplish this is to find a free electron to attach to. The primary source of electrons is from single cell organisms - mold, bacteria, viruses, odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The end result of this rebalancing is a dead organism, oxygen and hydrogen.

Keeping Mother Nature Out

In an effort to increase energy efficiency, today's building standards have changed which have greatly "tightened" building structures. With improved insulation, windows and building practices, the air inside the building does not circulate with outside air as much as it used to. While great for energy efficiency, these standards have blocked out Mother Nature's cleaners from helping kill mold, bacteria, viruses and odors which is one of the reasons why we know have "Sick Building Syndrome".

Photohydroionization

The RGF Guardian Air Photohyrdroionization (Phi) Cell corrects the one limitation of mother nature. With patent pending technology, the Phi Cell uses a broad spectrum UV light, water, oxygen and a quad-metallic compound to create a reaction that produces the same hydro-peroxides, super oxide ions and hydroxides that are found outdoors.

However, these friendly cleaners can last between 8 and 12 minutes. This gives them enough time to circulate through the building structure providing whole home aggressive protection against mold, bacteria, viruses, odors and VOCs.
