The Fly Family has been serving the air conditioning needs of Houstonians since the 1960’s when Bob Fly (now 79 and retired) was working for Honeywell as a trainer for air conditioning technicians as central A/C was new technology. He raised both his sons Robert and Randy in the industry too.

Now third generation Randy Jr. has started Fly Comfort Services to bring the air conditioning in Houston into the 21st century. Randy Jr. has been employed by an air conditioning contractor is Austin that was cutting edge into Energy audits and the total comfort package which looks also into contributing factors such as infiltration, weatherization and insulation. He has also been employed by contractors in the Houston area. With this background he believes that he can utilize value and quality for consumers who want more from their a/c system.

Fly Comfort Services also tries to be as environmentally friendly as possible. GREEN if you may, we recycle paper and cardboard, old air conditioner is recycled, we use Green Mountain Energy as our electric provider and most importantly WE RECOVER USED REFRIGERANT SO THAT IT CAN BE RECYCLED and ultimately reused. As a consumer this is important to you, now more than ever. Most central air conditioners since the 1950’s ran on Refrigerant 22 aka Freon , due to Environmental Protection Agency and the Montreal Protocol R22 will no longer be used in new air conditioners made after JAN 1st 2010 and will be phased out for manufacture in phases through 2025. Now the relevancy of the 2025 date will depend on the a/c companies recycling so Freon 22 supplies are plentiful to service a/c until 2025. At Fly Comfort Services we have been ready for this change for couple of years now. Since 2006 we have been recommending and installing R-410A or PURON in most of our system retrofits and installations.
